Restore damaged photographs
Water marks, foxing, torn corners, emulsion cracks and pieces missing outright — physical damage is what makes old prints feel unsalvageable. The restoration model works on surface damage, the scratches, creases, spotting and staining that sit on top of the emulsion, and reduces it without repainting the photograph underneath. Where the print itself is gone, that area is not invented to make the picture look whole: a photograph missing a corner comes back as a cleaner photograph still missing that corner.

Damage the engine handles well
Surface scratches and creases, dust and album marks, water staining and mould spotting, cracked emulsion and tape marks. What it does not handle is loss: where emulsion has lifted away or a piece of the print is gone, there is no information left to work from and the gap remains. Damage across a face is the case to expect least from, precisely because nothing is repainted there.
Photograph the print, don't scan the frame
If the photo is behind glass, take it out first — glare confuses any restoration. Shoot straight down in even daylight so the damage, not a shadow, is what the model sees.

- Can it repair a face that is torn in half?
- It will not repaint the missing half. Restore clears the damage it can see on the surface and leaves the rest of the photograph as it is, so a face that is half gone comes back cleaner but still half gone. If you need the missing part invented, this is not the tool for it.
- Is a failed restoration charged?
- No. A credit is deducted only when a restored image is produced.
